Gordon joined Redmont as an Operating Partner in August of 2023.
Gordon retired in 2023 as Senior Vice President of Corporate and Administrative Services at Alabama Power Company. He served for eight years as the Company’s General Counsel, seven years as its Division Vice President in Montgomery, and also served as the company’s lead government affairs representative in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining Alabama Power, Gordon was a legislative lawyer with Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovells), one of Washington D.C.’s largest law firms, and a legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Howell Heflin and the U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts.
A native of Birmingham, Gordon graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama, where he was President of the Student Government Association. He also earned a law degree from the University of Alabama, and a Master of Public Administration degree from George Washington University. He studied international law in London and has completed executive coursework at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and Oxford University in England.
